Pincardel is set in the stunning countryside of the Languedoc and provides a beautiful setting for all year round holiday adventures. In just over an hour you can enjoy the ski slopes of the Pyrenees or relax on one of the many beautiful beaches of the Mediterranean sea. 


Located in the 'golden triangle'; Carcassonne town (40 mins), Mirepoix (26 mins) and Limoux (16 mins) provide multiple options for restaurants, sightseeing and entertainment for adults and children alike. Hiking, cycling, horse riding (8 mins away), kayaking, cave exploration, wine tasting (be sure to try the famous Blanquette de Limoux, the world's first 'sparkling wine'), tree top playgrounds and lake inflatables to name just a few of the fun things to do in the region. Of particular note be sure to check out Carcassonne's music festival held every July (attracting 250,000 spectators with previous headline acts including Moby and Elton John) and the Limoux Carnival - held every weekend between January and Mardi Gras (3 months) and the Toques de Clochers wine festival held every Spring in Limoux.

Pincardel is a 30 minute drive from Carcassonne airport &   1 hour 15 mins from Toulouse.  

Depending on the configuration, this house can comfortably accommodate 3 families - 6 adults and 8 children (plus babies). We can also house an additional couple with children in the annex should larger parties require more space.


A former wine maker's cottage, Domaine de Pincardel is the perfect blend of old and new, retaining key period features such as the wine vats, pulley and wine press, whilst being modernised throughout for comfort. The house itself is a haven of peace and tranquility. Set in 12 acres, it is completely private, with stunning views, yet not remote. The local village, Alaigne, is 2.6km away (5 min drive). Here you you will find a post office and various recycling points available. Belveze du Razes is just 5.7km (<9 mins drive) from the house and here you will find more amenities including a bank with ATM, doctors, pharmacy, post office, pizzeria, bar, a newsagents and even a beauty parlour. 

Having traveled with children near and far we have a great understanding of what makes a memorable trip and an ideal holiday home. As such, you will find that Pincardel has hot and wet weather options covered. From swimming pool inflatables, to a hammock in the garden, a swing, BBQ, dvds, books, outdoor table tennis (under cover in the barn), croquet, sucker archery, badminton, boules, football, goggles, travel cot, high chair, beach/pool towels, blankets to make dens, garden tent, hair dryers, toastie maker, food processor, cake making equipment, paper and colouring pens, various toys and puzzles and a guidebook with lots of ideas and things to do in and around the region. The house is 360m2 with 5 bedrooms in the main house;  A master suite, two queen rooms and one twin room (2 single beds) on the first floor.  The twin room has a linking door to one queen, which can be locked. This room is ideal for children or teenagers. These share a family bathroom (bath and shower) and separate WC. The master suite has its own large private ensuite (shower, bath & WC). A dressing room opens off the hallway and connects to the master. There is extra space here for general luggage storage or should you want to move things around to accommodate your children/babies. We have two travel cots and high chairs available for use at the house. In addition, we have a number of plug in night lights. The dorm room is located downstairs, directly below the master bedroom and consists of two triple bunk beds (sleeps 6). This has access to the downstairs WC.


A further bedroom, with living area and bathroom, is located in the annex (above the barn). This is opened for larger bookings upon request. There is an additional charge per night for this space (if booked as part of the whole house booking). This has a double bed and single bed and can therefore accommodate a small family.


Please note that for bookings of more than 6 adults, we recommend booking the annexe - for the extra bathroom.  

The house is set within 12 acres and has many spacious and private entertaining areas - a large dining room with doors onto the front decking/porch/garden, a large kitchen with breakfast bar and doors onto a decked outdoor seating area, a large sitting room with doors leading into the garden and a covered barn space with outdoor seating and BBQ. The swimming pool (8m x 4m) has an water surface pool alarm for safety. It is currently under renovation with new surround tiles being installed and a new fence to close the area (safety compliance). It is set within the lawn and is overlooked by the sitting room, living room and barn.  There is a separate utility and drying room as well as boot room/pool toy room. Other updates to the house since the main photos were taken, include new tiled floors of the hallway, kitchen and living room, and some more landscaping to the garden, which includes a nice driveway. We are always updating things to improve our home so be sure to keep abreast of our instagram page.  

We operate on a standard 7 nights, Saturday to Saturday, minimum stay during peak season with check in after 4pm and check out by 10am. However, we can be flexible regarding the changeover day and timings to suit your travel arrangements (dependent on existing bookings). Off season, we offer a 5 day minimum booking. Our prices on various booking platforms (Air B&B, Pure France, Trip Advisor, Home Away, VRBO) range from 1500 euros to 3250 (plus TDS) per week depending on the season. Monthly stays benefit from a 15% reduction.


For the best deals please contact us directly at or 07724 127 737 since we are able to offer lower prices than the booking platforms, who charge commission. Furthermore, should you wish to bring your own bed linen and towels (many requesting this due to Covid) further discounts can be offered. 

Other information: 

 A 25% deposit is payable on reservation and full payment is due 14 days prior to your stay.

Weekly rates include towels (bath and pool), linens, water, electricity and a welcome pack.

A 1000 euro deposit is held for damages. 

Tax de Sejour (TDS): This is a local tax charged by the commune and all tourists (adults, over 18 years) are legally required to pay this fee. It is calculated on a percentage (3%) of the nightly rate/adult x number of nights stay. This is capped at 1.70 euros per night (under 18s free). 

Last minute bookings: At least two days notice is required to ensure the house is ready for guests.

Pets, well behaved and house trained, are welcome at no extra cost and there is plenty of free parking on site.
